  • Travel with a small and light luggage for the walks into the jungle

HEALTH

  • It´s recommendable to use sunblock cream all day
  • It´s very important to constantly drink enough water, as the humidity is very high. Preferably bring your own drinking bottle.
  • The yellow fever vaccination is mandatory.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Follow the instructions of the functionaries of the natural parks, guides and people that brings you the tourism services. Respect the rules of historical and religious places.
  • Take your garbage with you, don´t throw it in the jungle or rivers. Carry it in garbage bags until you deposit in an adequate place for its treatment.
  • Save Water! Take short showers and turn off the air conditioner when you left your room.
  • Take care of the fauna and flora when you practice ecotourism, abstain to touch it because are very fragile.
  • Don´t but animals and reject the places where are exhibit in captivity.
  • Buy crafts and souvenirs, pay a fair price in that way you can help to support local artist and vulnerable communities.
  • Don´t scratch natural and cultural assets.

 

CULTURAL HERITAGE

The Park area and its area of ​​influence mostly belong to the ethnic Tikuna, which is the most representative culture of the Amazon rain forest. Also they are present though in smaller numbers, and Yaguas indigenous Cocamas and now, mestizo families. Tikuna traditional nuclear family, monogamous patrilineal.

 

NATURAL HERITAGE

NATIONAL NATURAL PARK AMACAYACU

 

In this forest there are more than 5000 species of plants and forests are representative of a region where the greatest diversity of primates in the world. The birds are represented with over 468 species recorded. Among mammals are twelve species of primates and water animals highlight the pink dolphin and the Manatee. There is also the largest number of reptiles calculated in the country among which include alligators, anacondas, boa constrictors and turtles.
